Megrahi terms of release in chaos, says Gray

LABOUR has accused Alex Salmond of being "in denial" as the Scottish Government said the man convicted of the Lockerbie bombing had not broken the conditions of his release.

It follows reports that Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi left his villa in Tripoli at the weekend when rebel forces entered the capital.

Neighbours and his sons said that Megrahi, released from a Scottish jail on compassionate grounds with three months to live more than two years ago, had fled. Some suggested he had left with Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi.
