New Tory faction signals discontent

THE backbench rumblings against David Cameron's leadership grew in volume yesterday with the launch of a new right-wing Tory faction.

Among those behind Conservative Voice is David Davis, the senior backbencher whom the Prime Minister defeated for the party leadership in 2005.

He insisted the new group would work alongside the leadership, targeting such policy areas as tax, Europe, public services and political reform.
