North Korea jibe as Salmond fights to protect EU secrets

ALEX Salmond was accused of running Scotland "like North Korea" after Government lawyers again went to court to prevent details of its legal advice on the European Union being made public.

The First Minister faced an angry backlash at Holyrood as efforts to block an order from Scotland's information commissioner, Rosemary Agnew, con-tinued at the Court of Session.

Scottish Labour leader Johann Lamont urged the First Minister to drop the challenge and be "straight with the people of Scotland". She added: "Alex Salmond used to say Scotland could be like Norway. In office he seems to think he can run it like North Korea."
