DISGRACED MP Eric Joyce could find himself back in court after the Labour Party in his constituency voted to pursue him for £3000 it claims he should pay back.

Labour Party members in Falkirk have agreed to take out a small claims action as he has so far failed to repay £3000 contributed by the constituency group to his election expenses.

He quit the Labour ranks earlier this year after being convicted of head-butting a Conservative MP during a brawl in a House of Commons bar.

The Falkirk MP refused to stand down from Parliament, even when details of a relationship with a teenage party worker were revealed. At the time, he said he would not be quitting until the next General Election in 2015.

At the recent Falkirk Constituency Labour Party (CLP) AGM, members heard that an attempt to contact the MP to discuss the return of the money had been ignored.

Mr Joyce said: "The CLP has not had a vote on this. It never happened."
