PM quizzed on choice of Hunt

DAVID Cameron faced questions yesterday over the "desirability" of putting a Cabinet colleague who had lobbied for the BSkyB deal in charge of deciding the bid.

Lord Justice Leveson suggested that the fact Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt was a known backer of the deal should have ruled him out of the job.

His interjection came as the Prime Minister insisted there had been no legal problems surrounding his decision to hand control of the decision to Mr Hunt.
