Samaritans to offer counselling to Citizens Advice staff

CITIZENS Advice Bureaux staff have been so traumatised by the effects of welfare reform they are being offered counselling by the Samaritans, MSPs have been told.

The evidence came as members of the Welfare Reform Committee expressed anger at the continued refusal of Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith, architect of the reforms, to come to Holyrood to give evidence.
