Scotland 'less broke than the rest of UK'

NEW figures are expected to show Scotland was less broke than the rest of the UK last year, when oil revenues were taken into account.

The keenly awaited Government Expenditure and Revenues in Scotland (Gers) report is predicted to show the country was in the red in the past financial year – but not as deeply as other parts of the UK.
