In an interview with the Sunday Herald, Scott admitted his party was suffering because of a widespread voter backlash against the LibDems.
With the Scottish party languishing in the opinion polls, Scott said constant media coverage of the Coalition and its cuts meant he was fighting to overcome a “trust issue”, and that there was no realistic hope of his party making progress at the polls on May 5.
