Sheridan in anti-tax campaign

The former anti-poll tax campaigner has been appointed as secretary of the new West of Scotland Federation of the No2Bedroom Tax Campaign.

The former Scottish Socialist Party leader and MSP, who quit to found Solidarity at the height of the schism over an investigation by the News of the World over his sex life, initially won a defamation case but was convicted of perjury and sentenced to three years in jail, serving more than a year.
