SNP gay marriage warning

A FORMER SNP leader has been told he faces disciplinary action if he repeats his outspoken comments about same-sex marriage at the party's conference.

Gordon Wilson, who led the party for 11 years until 1990, caused controversy at the weekend when he said the Scottish Government's plans for gay marriage amounted to "state fascism". A lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) group warned it may report him to the party leadership if he repeats his comments at a fringe meeting in Perth today. Out for Independence is seeking an apology from Mr Wilson and assurances about the conduct of the meeting.
