Tories attack SNP claim over projects

THE First Minister has clashed with Tories over progress on building new schools and hospitals.

Alex Salmond was challenged by Tory finance spokesman Gavin Brown about progress on so-called shovel-ready projects being pursued under the non-profit distributing (NPD) model, which replaces private finance schemes.

The First Minister was subjected to jeers from the Opposition as he recited a lengthy list of education and health projects which had been signed off.
