INDEPENDENCE supporters were out in force in Glasgow last night to celebrate the official opening of the Yes Scotland campaign's new headquarters.

The launch party at the newly refitted offices in Hope Street began with a speech from Yes Scotland chief executive Blair Jenkins, before Margaret Ferrier, a volunteer at the campaign's Rutherglen branch, cut a ribbon to declare the premises officially open.

Campaign staff have been working out of the base since August and it will open to the public in January to drop in and inquire about independence as the debate over Scotland’s future steps up over the next two years.
