Darling to launch new think-tank

A THINK-tank is to be set up next week in the wake of the launch of the campaign for a No vote in the independence referendum, but the Glasgow entrepreneur behind the institute insisted it was not taking sides.

The Scotland Institute will be launched by Alistair Darling, the former Chancellor who will unveil the Better Together campaign on Monday.

Jackson Carlaw, deputy leader of the Scottish Conservatives will attend the Scotland Institute launch while Liberal Democrat veteran Sir Menzies Campbell has been invited to join the board.
