Nicola Benedetti: I get trolled on social media about my indyref views all the time
Nicola Benedetti, the violin virtuoso, has admitted to be being "trolled...all the time" on social media about her views on Scottish independence.
In a newspaper interview, the 26-year-old Scot made clear she would not be drawn about her views on whether or not Scotland should remain part of the UK, saying: "I get trolled about it all the time. It barely makes its way to me anymore because they've learned that they are not going to make me say anything.
"People have to respect your right to a private opinion. It was so emotional over J K Rowling. It's quite frightening."
She added: "If I lived in Scotland, I might feel a greater obligation to speak up. Maybe."
