The Scottish Liberal Democrats have caused controversy on social media after launching a website hitting out at the SNP as part of their general election campaign.
The SNP.fail site was launched by the party on Sunday, April 19.
The site targets the SNP's record on health, the economy, civil liberties, Environment & Housing and includes a reworked version of the SNP's 'Stronger for Scotland' election campaign logo.
It also includes a page where visitors can sign up to the Liberal Democrats campaign and a Your #SNPfail section that states: "There are many more clangers that the SNP have dropped which we just didn't have time to list on this site. There are only 24 hours in a day afterall!"
The SNP have taken their eye off the ball. Help us spread the word & find out more. http://t.co/EJ21W9sMhn #snpfail

The site has been criticised on social media, with users claiming it is a waste of money.
@scotlibdems That website is a waste of money. If I was a donor I'd be looking for a positive case, not some half baked negative guff.

@scotlibdems Wow. Can you be anymore desperate? #VoteSNP #SNP

@scotlibdems @LibDems So, after five years in coalition with a gang of thugs, you've got the nerve to criticise someone else?

However, some Twitter users have backed the site.
@scotlibdems @LibDems I'm with you on this one, the #SNP plan for Scotland's economy is a recipe for disaster #SNPfail #ge2015

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
