Professor Norman Gash

Historian; Born January 16, 1912; Died May 1, 2009. Professor Norman Gash, who has died aged 97, achieved renown for his historical work on the Tory Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel, but also did much to encourage a future generation of Conservatives during a successful academic career at St Andrews University.
