BARRY FRY, Peterborough's director of football, has hit back after Livingston midfielder Stefan Scougall claimed his transfer had fallen through because the London club had "moved the goalposts".

Fry said the youngster's representatives had made the £75,000 deal impossible, and that the player's agents wanted to sign the contract before he had undergone a medical; despite a hamstring injury having sidelined him for much of this season.

"Every time we thought we had a deal agreed, his representatives would ask for something else," Fry said. "We have dealt with three different agents in five weeks; it made it impossible."
