St Johnstone have made an enquiry about signing David Goodwillie on loan until the end of the season.

The Blackburn Rovers striker has returned to Ewood Park following an unsuccessful spell at Dundee United at the start of the campaign, but may be lured north once again with Aberdeen also asking about a loan move.

The Perth side have already signed English teenager Wade Joyce until the end of the season and have secured both Brian Easton and Tam Scobbie on new deals until the summer of 2015. "There are other clubs in for David but, in football terms, there isn't a better place to come than here," said Tommy Wright, the St Johnstone manager.
