Colin Cameron, the new player-manager at Berwick Rangers, has no intention of retreating to the dugout permanently, although the former Scotland midfielder is not yet sure when he will give himself his debut.

One of his first acts after taking the post at Shielfield Park was to be registered as a player. Cameron - who resigned as Cowdenbeath player-manager in November - played for Burntisland Shipyard as a trialist last weekend.

However, now 41, he will not rush into action with Berwick. "I have given my own position some thought," he said. "We will see whether there is a place in our best team for me in due course."
