Heather Lockhart is a determined character at the best of times, and she and her Hillhead/Jordanhill team-mates will head to Murrayfield Wanderers looking to complete the perfect league campaign.
Going into the final match of the RBS Women's Premier League tomorrow, the Glasgow club have a five-point lead over their opponents, having won all nine games so far.
Wanderers could, theoretically, still take the title should they defeat Hills by 31 points, but the visitors already have one hand on the silverware and are very keen to make it 10 wins from 10 matches.
Having joined Hills back in 2004, Lockhart has been delighted with the club's rise over the past decade, which culminated in their league and cup double success in 2012/13.
The 41-year-old Scotland front-row said: "Last season was really great and to be able to win the cup playing on the main pitch at Murrayfield was a dream for many of the players. In the summer we all sat down and set out our goals for this season and top of our priority list was to go through the league season unbeaten.
"We are one game away from that now and I must praise the work ethic of the team, particularly in defence, and the countless hours that the likes of coaches Caine McIntyre and Dougie Grove and team manager Fiona Reardon put in to make sure that we are prepared to take the field when games come around."
Wanderers having been the standard bearers for the women's game in Scotland over the years, it has been quite a feat for Hills to take over that mantle. Hills won the earlier meeting this season 41-10, but there was a win apiece last term. Lockhart has played in the shadow of the national stadium against the Edinburgh side enough times over the years to know that they will be going all out to put a dent in Hills' 'perfect 10'.
"Wandies have some great players and they are proud of their home record," she said. "All we need to do is concentrate on our own game, though, and I have faith in the team that we can deliver. Everyone in the team knows what their role is and we are very focused ahead of this one, it should be a cracking match."
