GLASGOW CITY's preparations for the 2014 season get underway in earnest today when they fly out to Germany for a prestigious international indoor competition organised by Turbine Potsdam.

All three new signings - former Celtic pair Alyshia Walker and Fiona Brown, as well as American under-23 internationalist Ella Stephan - are included in the squad.

But the Scottish champions have already lost seven players in the close season, including captain Rachel Corsie, and are also resigned to losing Christie Murray, who is believed to be in talks with Arsenal. Eilish McSorley is also understood to be looking for a new club.

"The club has always said that it won't hold players back, said head coach Eddie Wolecki. "But what is really annoying is that we receive no compensation for helping to develop them . . ."
