Brechin City staged a fine comeback to beat Dunfermline 3-2 at Glebe Park and let Rangers pull further away from the pack.

Dunfermline looked to be coasting at 2-0 in the second half after Lawrence Shankland broke the deadlock on the half-hour and Ryan Wallace extended the lead, rounding keeper Graeme Smith after 54 minutes.

But Brechin stormed back and quick-fire goals from Derek Carcary and Andy Jackson put them level, then Darren Petrie netted with a minute left.

East Fife had to work hard to come from behind to take three points and see off Forfar Athletic 2-1.

Gavin Swankie gave Forfar the half-time lead. Marc McKenzie equalised early in the second half and Stephen O'Neil gave East Fife the win.

Airdrieonians and Stranraer drew 1-1 at New Broomfield leaving the home side still stuck at the foot of the table.

Airdrieonians took the lead just before half time through Jim Lister but Stranraer got the equaliser 20 minutes from time.

Ross McNeil gave managerless Stenhousemuir a late point with a final-minute strike in the 1-1 draw with Ayr United. Craig Malcolm had given Ayr the lead after 27 minutes.
