Gary Locke, the Hearts manager, has dismissed the suggestion that his side will be motivated by the chance to exact revenge on Inverness Caledonian Thistle this weekend after the Highland side won the Scottish League Cup semi-final between the two sides earlier this month.

Instead the Tynecastle side will travel north intent only on nursing their faint hopes of avoiding relegation from the top flight.

"I don't really want to talk too much about [the semi-final] but it was a hard one to take," said Locke. "All the players will tell you the same. We've got 13 games left and to give ourselves any chance at all [of staying up] we need to try and go on a little run."
