Henry Smith, the former Hearts goalkeeper, has extolled Fraser Forster for his performances this season and has sympathy for any striker charged with beating the Celtic goalkeeper.

Forster will take his place between the posts at Tynecastle on Saturday.

Should Forster avoid conceding a goal for the first 31 minutes of that match then he will beat the Scottish League record of 1155 minutes, set by Aberdeen's Bobby Clark. Smith believes that it would be fitting for Forster to set a record this term.

"There is not a flaw in his game that I can see just now," said Smith. "I've been impressed with his concentration levels."

Forster's latest clean sheet came against St Johnstone, with the Perth side last night confirming defender Frazer Wright had signed a contract extension until next summer.
