The interim board in charge of Dunfermline Athletic has confirmed the club is currently self-sufficient is able to reach the end of the season without further donations from supporters becoming a necessity.

Pars United - the fans group which completed a takeover of the Fife club in December - spent an initial investment of £450,000 to cover the cost of administration and the agreed company voluntary arrangement, with a further £50,000 lent to the club to cover immediate monetary requirements.

However, it has emerged that the interim boards has not needed to use a further investment sum of £250,000 due to "positive cashflow" since the takeover was completed. A club statement read: "In short, the club is far ahead of where it seemed we might be at the start of the season."
