IFEOMA Dieke celebrated her 33rd birthday yesterday with a recall to international football after being named in Scotland's squad for next week's Cyprus Cup.

The central defender has not played for her country since rupturing an anterior cruciate ligament playing for Team GB at the London Olympics. "We have been without Ifeoma for 18 months, so it is fantastic that she is now fit enough to play for us again," said Scotland coach Anna Signeul. "It's not easy to fully recover from a serious knee injury as you get older, but Ifeoma has always been very dedicated."

Scotland open their Cyprus Cup campaign against France in Larnaca on March 5.
