Stenhousemuir claimed a surprise point at East End Park in a 0-0 draw with Dunfermline.

The result means leaves Rangers only needing to avoid defeat against Airdrieonians at Ibrox in midweek to claim the League 1 title.

The Pars peppered the Stenhousemuir goal with shots, but the closest they came to a breakthrough was a Danny Grainger shot which hit the post.

Ayr United ended a four-match losing run to thump 10-man Stranraer 5-0 at Somerset Park.

Three first half goals from Michael Moffat (penalty), Craig Malcolm and Michael Donald were followed by a second from Moffat before Alan Forrest added the fifth with 15 minutes left.

Bottom-of-the-table Arbroath came from behind to beat East Fife 2-1 and close the gap at the bottom to just a point.

Liam Buchanan gave East Fife an early lead with a deflected shot after a quickly-taken free-kick from Stephen Hughes.

But Arbroath came back through Michael Travis midway through the first half after a scramble following a corner.

Paul McManus settled it with the winning goal 13 minutes from time.

Forfar Athletic and Brechin City shared a 1-1 draw at Station Park.
