HAMILTON Academical have been boosted by the news that midfielder Tony Andreu has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The Frenchman, who arrived from Livingston last summer, is enjoying an impressive maiden season at New Douglas Park, scoring nine goals in 33 games.

Alex Neil, the club's player-manager, has decided to act and tie the 25-year-old down on longer terms.

Andreu will be hoping he is playing his football in the SPFL Premiership next season. Hamilton, who travel to Morton on Saturday, are currently just one point adrift of Dundee after the league leaders could only draw with Raith Rovers on Tuesday.
