YANN SONGO'O has warned all-conquering Aberdeen that Ross County do not fear anyone in Scotland's top flight.
The Pittodrie side have humbled champions Celtic twice this season, reached the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-finals and were joyously celebrating their first silverware in 19 years after League Cup glory last week. But Songo'o, the on-loan Blackburn Rovers centre-half, was quick to emphasise the self-belief coursing through County's ranks.
"The manager [Derek Adams] gives the players a lot of confidence," he said. "We have a good squad and we have to keep doing the same things and the results will come.
"We are not scared to play Aberdeen. Every game is difficult, but as a team we should be in the top six when you look at our results from January to March. We had a bad start, but our recent form shows we should be in the top six."
Songo'o, who scored his third goal in 10 games as County lost 2-1 at Motherwell last weekend, added: "If I am being honest I don't really see a team that is streets ahead of us just now. I am not saying the other teams don't have good players, of course they do. But I train every day here and I don't think we should be at the bottom of the league. We have unbelievable players.
"A lot on them came in January to help the club to move up the league, like Jordan Slew, Yoann Arquin and Filip Kiss. We have to stay strong at home to get the three points. The last few games before the split are very important, but we will be fine.
"We have a lot of confidence."
