The Motherwell forward James McFadden has said he can see himself staying at Fir Park after the summer.

McFadden signed a one-year contract last summer after returning to his first club on a short-term basis in February 2013.

When asked whether he could see himself in claret and amber next season, the 30-year-old former Scotland internationalist told the club's official online TV channel: "I think so. I know the manager has got to get his budget sorted but I wouldn't rule it out.

"I have not got any plans for what happens in the summer.

"I want to take it game by game and as long as I enjoy it, that's good enough for me."
