ALAN HUTTON, the Scotland internationalist, has extended his loan spell at Bolton Wanderers, from Aston Villa, until the end of the season.

Hutton, 29, has made five appearances for Bolton and suffered only one defeat to Brighton.

The former Rangers full-back, who still has 16 months left on his contract, has not played for Villa since Paul Lambert was appointed as manager in the summer of 2012.

Lambert has admitted that Hutton has been left out in the cold because Villa are desperate to get him off the wage bill. The defender earns around £40,000 a week.
