ROTHERHAM United, who are already chasing Kris Boyd, the Kilmarnock striker, are also keen to sign two youngsters from St Mirren.

Rotherham, who are managed by Stevie Evans, the former Clyde, Albion Rovers and Ayr player, have scouted Paisley defender Jason Naismith and forward John McGinn.

A club representative will cast an eye again over the pair when St Mirren play Motherwell this Saturday.

"Rotherham have a good chance of being a Championship side next season and are planning to give a number of players in Scotland the chance to play at that level," a source close to Evans revealed yesterday.
