DUNFERMLINE have been handed a cheque for £60,000 as membership of their Centenary Club Lifeline fund-raising scheme approaches their target of 1000 members.

The Lifeline was set up earlier in the season to boost the club's ailing finances after they were saved from administration in October, with the aim of attracting at least 500 supporters to contribute £20 per month.

With £20 of every £120 raised being returned to contributors in the form of monthly prize draws, the first £60,000 has already been passed to the Fifers to contribute to the running of the club under its new owners, Pars United.
