Two Belgian clubs have confirmed they have made enquiries about Celtic striker Tony Watt, who has been demoted to the reserves at Lierse following his criticism of manager Stanley Menzo in two interviews last month.

However, Belgian League runners-up Zulte-Waregem and KV Oostende have now both confirmed they want to sign Watt. Zulte-Waregem manager Francky Dury said: "We have already contacted his agent to find out the terms of his contract at Celtic. He is a very interesting player."

But Zulte-Waregem will face competition from Oostende, who are managed by Fred Vanderbiest. He said: "He has so many qualities. He has scoring ability, he is blessed with speed and he is good with and without the ball. I think it will all come down to money and the willingness of Celtic to sell him."

The Celtic forward's time in Belgium has been controversial after several arguments with Menzo, but he has performed well when he's played.

Meanwhile, Fernando Monetti's agent claims that the Scottish champions will make an offer for the 25-year-old Gimnasia La Plata goalkeeper before the end of the season.

Gustavo Galasso said: "Celtic have watched Fernando. They have confirmed they will be watching him again before the end of the season. I expect them to make an offer directly to Gimnasia after that."
