Hibernian have been hit with a major blow after striker Paul Heffernan was ruled out for the rest of the season.

The Irishman injured his groin warming up for last week's Scottish Premiership clash with Aberdeen and will now sit out the final five games of the campaign, starting with Saturday's trip to St Mirren.

Long-term absentee Paul Hanlon (knee) remains out but Scott Robertson (knee) and James McPake (back) have returned to training, although both are unlikely to feature against the Buddies.

Provisional squad: Williams, Forster, Nelson, McGivern, Stevenson, Craig, Collins, Maybury, Handling, Stanton, Zoubir, Cairney, Harris,Cummings, Thomson, Taiwo, Boateng, Watmore, Tudur Jones, Murdoch, Robertson, McPake.
