KILMARNOCK have been cleared of allegations that they forged a player's signature on a document following an investigation by the Scottish Professional Football League.
The claim came from a former employee who says she is taking the club to an industrial tribunal.
The alleged incident took place last month although it is unclear which player was at the centre of the claim. However, Neil Doncaster, the SPFL chief executive, released a statement last night which confirmed that no action would be taken.
It read: "A complaint was made to the SPFL by a former employee of Kilmarnock FC regarding an alleged falsification of a signature on a document intended to be submitted to the SPFL.
"An SPFL investigation into the allegation, including an interview with the complainant and a comprehensive examination of documentation, is now complete.
"The SPFL has concluded it can identify no document which included a falsified player signature or to have been otherwise irregularly completed. The SPFL intends to take no further action on this complaint."
