Alex Neil, the Hamilton Academical player-manager, has cast Dumbarton in the role of kingmakers as the SPFL Championship title race goes down to the wire.

The part-time side defeated Hamilton last weekend to knock them off top spot and will finish the season tomorrow against new leaders Dundee.

A defeat for the Dens Park side - coupled with a win for Hamilton, who host Morton - would allow the Lanarkshire side to win the title and Neil is convinced that Dumbarton are capable of causing an upset.

"Dumbarton are dangerous, Ian Murray has done a great job there," said Neil. "They are the top goal-scorers in the league. If any team are capable of going up to Dundee and getting some goals then it would be Dumbarton."
