OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER, the Cardiff City manager, believes it would "definitely be a bigger miracle" than Manchester United's famous 1999 Champions League final triumph if Cardiff can avoid Barclays Premier League relegation.

Currently bottom of the league, they require wins in their final two games - at Newcastle on Saturday and at home to Chelsea in nine days' time - to retain any survival hope, and even then they still need other results to work in their favour.

"We need to give ourselves a chance against Chelsea," Solskjaer said. "It takes belief, togetherness, and a hero stepping forward and doing something magical."
