Nigel Hasselbaink has just 180 minutes to play his way into the side for the William Hill Scottish Cup final.
The St Johnstone forward has slipped out of manager Tommy Wright's starting line-up recently but he is ready for a recall to face Celtic in Perth tonight.
The Dutch striker relishes playing the Parkhead side and
rates a stunning strike last year as the best of his career.
"It's been very frustrating to not play more but that's up to the gaffer and the boys have been doing really well," he said.
"I'm just waiting for my time
to come. Hopefully I'll get a start against Celtic and we'll see
what happens. I've scored against Celtic at McDiarmid and
it is one of my favourite goals.
"It went in the top corner.
I think I've played well against Celtic in the past so hopefully I'll get the chance again. We all want to show what we've got before the cup final and to make his selection as hard as possible.
"There are two games still to impress. It would be my first final and it would be amazing to play in. You don't know how many more there will be in your career."
Hasselbaink will have a posse of family and friends coming over from the Netherlands for the final against Dundee United.
But uncle Jimmy Floyd, the former Barcelona and Chelsea striker, cannot make it.
"I've got eight family and friends coming over to watch the final. But my uncle is the manager of Antwerp so he's busy just now. They're in the play-offs."
