Emilio Izaguirre, the Celtic full-back, last night pledged his future to the club while revealing his ambitions to become a top manager.
The Honduran is preparing for the World Cup and is now in a training camp in Miami after Celtic's comfortable title success. And although he admitted he would one day return home to finish his career before moving into management, he is happy to stay at Parkhead for now.
He said: "If Celtic decided to sell me, then no problem, but my desire is to stay with them, play and win titles and play in the Champions League. That's what you will remember for the rest of your life. I want to be part of Celtic for many years to come. My dream is to one day return to Honduras and prepare to become a great manager. Motagua is my team, but I am a professional and would coach anywhere."
The left-back is convinced Honduras can make an impact at this summer's World Cup. He said: "Some people think that the European-based Honduras players no longer care. But remember, sometimes we have to travel for 14 or 15 hours and play two days later, so that demonstrates our commitment to our country."
