PAUL HARTLEY, the Dundee manager, is stepping up his search for a new assistant manager as he prepares for life back in the top flight.

Ray Farningham had been Hartley's No.2 after he took over the reigns from former manager John Brown in February, but the former Dundee midfielder is now about to start a new youth post at Dens. Hartley admits bringing in a new right-hand man soon is high on his list of summer priorities.

"I have one or two people in mind but it is whether we can bring them in or not," Hartley said. "But I am in discussions with a couple of people just now. Jinky [Farningham] will be moving to a new role. That was always the plan."
