TWO Championship clubs hope that increasing ground capacity will allow them to reap the maximum reward from a division which will include Rangers, Hearts and Hibernian next season.
Both Queen of the South and Dumbarton have confirmed plans to alter their stadia.
Queens have reopened the Terregles Street End at Palmerston and intend further changes to better accommodate increased visiting fans, with the capacity to reach 7620. Dumbarton are also exploring ways to increase the Bet Butler Stadium, which holds 2000.
"The Terregles Street End was developed to allow us to house 1000 fans. There are plans for further work to increase that capacity," said Mark Blount, the Queens director.
Alan Findlay, the Dumbarton commercial director, said: "We're all looking to benefit from what is sure to be one of the most exciting league campaigns in the Championship."
