Glasgow High/Kelvinside will go into next season with two head coaches.
Cameron Little, a former Scotland sevens internationalist who played for Glasgow in both amateur and professional eras, will share the role with the former Glasgow Hawks prop Liam McIntyre, who replaced Kenneth Hamilton last season.
Little played for GHK during his career and became one of the driving forces behind the formation of Old Anniesland's Premiership club, Glasgow Hawks.
"My history with the club was really the driving factor," said the former scrum-half, who coached at Glasgow Hawks alongside Jamie Dempsey before taking up his new role. "It is my first head coaching job but I hope my experience as both a player and a coach will bring a lot to GHK.
"The core of talented players at the club is fantastic but, at clubs in the lower leagues, it is often feast or famine. A lot of promising players have left in the past few years; Tony Herron and John Lohoar left for Hawks and went straight into the firsts. There has to be a good flow of players coming in as well, so that will mean building a better relationship with youth rugby at Old Anniesland and the founder schools."
GHK are working without a midi set-up at the moment, with rugby stopping after Primary 7 - when Glasgow Hawks begins - before resuming at senior level. The club came third in West League 1 last season.
"Just as Glasgow Hawks work closely with Glasgow Warriors, I hope GHK will work with Hawks," said Little. "As well as wanting to win cups and go through the leagues I want to make sure the club is developing players who can go on to play at a higher level."
Peter Ritchie, the GHK captain, is delighted that Little has agreed to return given the stature which he still holds at the club. "He will bring a fresh approach," said the 30-year-old second row.
"I know he will have the immediate respect of everyone at the club. He has plenty of contacts so, as well as helping our current players, he should attract new ones."
