Gary Hooper has emerged as a transfer target of four Barclays Premier League clubs, following the relegation of his current side Norwich City last season.

Each of Crystal Palace, Swansea City, Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers are understood to be preparing bids for the former Celtic striker.

The Englishman left the Scottish champions last summer in a £5m move, although he would score just eight times last term. However, it is his record with Celtic - the striker scored 82 times in 137 appearances - which continues to stimulate interest from the English top-flight.
