Motherwell and East Fife last night confirmed that they will host English club Fulham in pre-season friendlies.

The London side suffered relegation from the Barclays Premier League last season and it is understood that they intend to hold a training camp in Scotland to help prepare them for a promotion push next term.

A Fulham spokesperson last night insisted that the final preparations for their pre-season programme have still to be ratified, although there are plans to play two friendlies with Scottish opposition.

It later transpired that East Fife will host Felix Magath's squad at Bayview on Saturday July 5, before Fulham report to Fir Park for another friendly seven days later. That match is expected to comprise Motherwell's only home pre-season fixture, with the club to enter the Europa League at the second qualifying round the following week.
