CELTIC are planning to offer a 'pay-as-you-play' contract to former Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

Ronny Deila, the new manager, is aware Fraser Forster may leave the SPFL champions after the World Cup in Brazil, and there have been discussions about offering a deal to Gordon, who has been out of football for two years due to injury.

The 31-year-old, who trained with Lukasz Zaluska and Forster at the end of the season, has impressed goalkeeper coach Stevie Woods and seems to be back to fitness. Celtic though, may feel it is too much of a gamble to offer a permanent contract and would prefer a deal based on first-team appearances.
