Crystal Palace have made their first summer signing of in the shape of the Scotland Under-21 international goalkeeper, Chris Kettings.

The 21-year-old has arrived on a free transfer following his release from Blackpool and will challenge Julian Speroni and Wayne Hennessey for the No.1 spot in Tony Pulis' side.

Having guided the club to 11th in the Barclays Premier League last season, Pulis released 12 players and has started his rebuilding with Kettings, capped three times by Scotland's Under-21 side.

Kettings did not play a first-team league game at Blackpool and spent time out on loan at Birmingham City, Morecambe and York City.

He said: "Everyone who I've spoken to about Crystal Palace has only had good things to say so I think it's a massive opportunity for myself."
