Morgaro Gomis hopes that he will be reunited with Prince Buaben in Hearts' midfield next season.
Gomis has already signed a contract with the Tynecastle club, while his former Dundee United team-mate Buaben is on trial. The 26-year-old featured in a victory over Dinamo Bucharest.
It is four years since the pair last played together, a partnership which peaked with victory in the Scottish Cup final in 2010. Buaben has since been with Carlisle United - ending last season on loan at Partick Thistle - and was invited to train with Hearts at a training camp in England last week. He has impressed enough to remain with the club on a trial basis.

Gomis hopes that the midfielder will still be at Tynecastle when the new campaign begins. "It was good to be reunited with Prince on the pitch on Sunday. I've known him for quite a while now," said Gomis, who was released by United this summer.
"He's a very good player, who likes to keep the ball and he's powerful. Prince has good experience as well, which would be good for us as we have a young squad. We started playing together in 2007 and he's been one of my best friends since then. We just understand each other's game. We don't even really need to speak to each other on the pitch, we just know where the other one is. It's very natural.
"I don't know what will happen but I hope we can sign him, the club are talking to him just now. The manager wanted to bring the two of us and I signed first. I've been having a quiet word in his ear but it's Prince's decision."
Gomis has also gotten to know his new team-mates better during their two-game trip in England, which also included a 2-0 defeat by Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrads on Thursday. "I've been impressed with all of them," said the 28-year-old. "There are a few similarities with our Dundee United team as we had some young players too."
