Lewis Macleod marked his comeback from illness with a 25-yard strike as Rangers beat Fulham 4-2 yesterday in a closed-door friendly at Murray Park.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who has represented Scotland at every level from under-16 to under-21, suffered damaged heart muscles following an illness that ended his season in January. However, he proved he was back on song with a goal that put Ally McCoist's side 2-1 up after Kenny Miller had opened the scoring.

Fulham twice levelled through Moussa Dembele and Hugo Rodallega before second-half goals from Nicky Law and Nicky Clark secured victory for Rangers.
