Hearts have given Callum Paterson a new three-year contract.

The club announced that the 19-year-old had followed fellow youth academy graduates Sam Nicholson and Gary Oliver in signing deals this summer.

Paterson has played 60 first-team games for Hearts and has shown his versatility at full-back, midfield and up front.

The powerful teenager was outstanding in the final few months of last season at right-back, scoring four goals in the club's last four games - including two headers in a 2-1 win over Hibernian - to take his tally for the season to 11.
